Houston’s Texas Medical Center (TMC) is a massive campus of over 160 different hospitals, research and lab facilities, medical schools, institutes for different diseases, all providing leading-edge treatments for all types of illnesses. It is the largest medical city in the world, with over 250,000 staff in every medical discipline who strive to provide the best treatment possible. Over nine million patients come to the Texas Medical Center every year. Many of the major hospital and treatment clinics also have satellite treatment centers around Houston – where Local patients can get limited treatments – if they can get to those clinic.
The TMC (a city within our city) have their own newspaper, religious amenities and security. Also, a complimentary shuttle service carries patients, caregivers, and staff between hospitals or medical facilities.

There are a number of MedFlight organizations and Corporate Flight services we partner with. Ground Angel volunteers get the Patients to and from local airports. Patients must contact the angel flight groups direct – their contact information is HERE.

American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society offers a great deal of information and can refer you to other resources. ACS closed their local ride services in 2020 and have not restarted – now they refer Patients to Houston Ground Angels. Visit their website, American Cancer Society.
